File Setup for Vehicle Magnets

guidelines:

- Resolution - All artwork should be 300 dpi at final size for best print quality.
- Bleed - Add 0.125" (1/8") bleed on all sides. Backgrounds, images, and color blocks should extend fully into the bleed.
- Safe Area - Keep all important text, logos, and critical design elements at least 0.25" inside the trim edge.
- File Size - Build your file at the exact final print size, plus bleed.
- Preferred File Formats - We recommend submitting in PDF format:
- Fonts - Convert all fonts to outlines or embed them before saving.
- Images - Embed all linked images and make sure they are high resolution.
- Large Black Areas - For a deeper, richer black, use a rich black build rather than 100% black only when appropriate.

Prior to Application

note that smooth and flat metal surfaces maximize magnetic grip. Do not apply to car roofs or other horizontal surfaces subject to direct sunlight and high heat.
Application
Apply one edge of the magnet to the metal surface first, allowing for more control over positioning. Ensure the entire magnet is affixed to the metal surface without air pockets. To reposition the magnet, remove the magnet by peeling from the sides. Then, reapply. Do not drag or slide the magnet, as it may stretch.
Maintenance
Clean the magnet and the metal surface regularly with a mild detergent. Remove the
magnet before a car wash. Cold weather can cause magnets to become stiff. Apply or
remove the magnet in a parking garage or other sheltered location.
Storage
